John Breckenridge

John Breckenridge is the leader of Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital). Since joining the fund in 2007 he has managed investments in early stage companies, mid-sized industrial corporations and project development businesses across the Energy sector. John's portfolio responsibilities have included board memberships at Inflection Energy, Atlantic Wind Connection, Sage Electrochromics, Ice Energy, 3-Tier, Sequoia Energy, Solarfun Power, and Solar Reserve, among others.

John joined Bregal Energy from CCMP Capital Advisors (formerly known as J.P. Morgan Partners), where he served as Managing Director in both Tokyo and New York. During his seven years at the firm, John was responsible for investing in and leading many of the firm's portfolio companies in the USA, Asia and Europe. While at CCMP, he led the management of investments in the renewable energy, traditional energy, industrial service, automotive, manufacturing and chemicals sectors, among others. He also provided guidance to western companies expanding into China or other Asian countries.

Prior to joining JP Morgan Partners in Tokyo, John was Chief Operating Officer of Densei Lambda KK, a publicly traded Japanese corporation with 8 factories located around the world and over 4,000 employees. Before that he was the leader of several large divisions of Invensys plc and Exide Electronics in the US. Earlier in his career he held engineering, sales and general management positions at AT&T, and Strafor Facom SA. John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.

Ian Blakely

Since joining Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital) in 2006, Ian Blakely has led and evaluated investments in thermal power generation, renewable power, biofuels, and oil exploration & production. Ian's current and prior responsibilities include management of the investments in 3TIER, Agile Energy, Champlin-GEI Wind Holdings, Eolectric, Everpower, Insight Energy, Nordic BioEnergy, Second Wind and Sequoia Energy.

Prior to joining Bregal Energy, Ian was the co-founder and CFO of BrightPath, a start-up focused on serving the needs of parents of children with learning disabilities. He helped lead fundraising efforts, development of the strategy and business model and managed a team of experts providing advice to parents.

Previously, Ian was an associate at JPMorgan Partners, a leading global private equity and venture capital fund. While at JPMorgan Partners, he helped build and invested in successful companies in the energy, financial services, and transportation industries. As a former analyst at Morgan Stanley, he also helped advise consumer products companies on mergers, acquisitions and fundraising activities. During his time there, Ian worked on transactions such as the US$18.9 billion sale of Nabisco to Philip Morris and the IPO of Bunge.

Ian received his MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management and completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University earning a B.S. degree in Economics with a focus in Environmental Science and Policy.

Nathan Campbell

Nathan Campbell has led investments in exploration & production, power, midstream and electric transmission sectors since joining Bregal Energy in 2010. Nathan's current and prior board responsibilities have included Inflection Energy, Iron Mountain Generation, Birchill Exploration, Agile Energy, Atlantic Wind Connection and Nexamp.

Prior to joining Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital), Nathan worked for Macquarie Capital as an Associate Director in both New York and Sydney. During his six years at the firm, Nathan was involved in principal investments across a number of sectors including renewable energy, smart grid, energy distribution, semiconductors and transportation. Most recently, Nathan was leading Macquarie's solar team in their New York office where he was leading a number of principal and advisory transactions across the sector.

Previously, Nathan worked at Deutsche Bank AG and spent six years in the Aviation sector, where his responsibilities included the financial and operational management of an annual oil usage of approximately 40 million barrels. Additionally, while working in industry, Nathan led key initiatives in a corporate reorganization which resulted in over a threefold increase in EBITDA.

An Australian citizen, Nathan holds a Masters in Applied Finance & Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.

Christina Scalzo

Christina Scalzo joined the Bregal Energy investment team in January 2012. Christina's responsibilities include originating, executing and managing investments across the energy sector. Christina currently sits on the boards of Atlantic Wind Connection and Sequoia Energy.

Prior to joining Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital), Christina was an Associate at Energy Capital Partners in Short Hills, NJ. While at Energy Capital Partners, Christina focused primarily on investments in the midstream and solar sectors. She also evaluated investment opportunities across the broader power, coal, and energy services sectors.

Christina began her career as an Analyst in the Global Natural Resources Group within the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY. Christina worked on corporate advisory and capital markets transactions for a range of clients including MLPs, energy corporations, diversified utilities, water utilities, and financial sponsors.

Christina received a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with concentrations in Finance, Global Analysis, and Management, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Skyler Stein

Skyler Stein joined the Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital) investment team during 2010. Skyler focuses on evaluating, structuring, and monitoring investments across the energy sector. He has executed transactions in the exploration & production, midstream, power and renewables sectors. Skyler sits on the board of SecondWind.

Skyler joined Bregal Energy from the Power, Utilities, and Renewables Group at Macquarie Capital in New York. At Macquarie, he primarily focused on project financings and development across the power and renewables sectors. In addition, he assisted in buy-side and sell-side advisory processes for a variety of M&A, and public and private equity offerings.

Skyler grew up in San Diego, California and graduated cum laude from Duke University with a B.A. in Energy and Ecological Economics.

Harris Ziskroit

Since joining Bregal Energy (formerly Good Energies Capital) in their New York office in 2011, Harris helped lead Bregal Energy's review and progression in the traditional energy (power generation, E&P, midstream, services, etc.) and bioenergy sectors. Harris sits on the board of Iron Mountain Generation, Nordic BioEnergy, and Insight Energy.

Prior to joining Bregal Energy, Harris worked at LS Power Equity Advisors, an energy private equity fund as a member of the acquisition and finance team. In addition, Harris actively managed six natural gas-fired combined cycle and peaking power plants in the Northeast and Midwest, where he oversaw plant management and staff and managed all aspects of the power facility including plant operations, daily bid parameters, and optimization opportunities. Before joining LS Power, Harris worked in the Energy Group within the Investment Banking Division at Credit Suisse in New York, where he worked with a broad range of transactions in the power, oil and gas, MLP, and chemical industries.

Harris completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors.
